So I think for sure my IATSE membership is confirmed after I went to Midland to swear in. For me, it’s official once I get my member card. It’s good though that things are progressing. I need to start learning more about rigging and attend training when it is offered.
Courses for this semester are okay. Algorithms is more mathematics intensive than I think my classmates want it to be and Intelligent Systems turns out to be different than I thought going into it. It’s funny how drastically different undergraduate and graduate algorithms courses. I can’t imagine how CS undergraduates would feel learning about the combinatorics and probability of the birthday problem (professor covered some of probabilistic analysis with the problem). I like algorithms for using math I’ve used before. During one lecture, I completely forgot how to matrix multiple two 3 x 3 matrices – how embarrassing. I think I took linear algebra seven or eight years ago?
There’s not much interesting to state about intelligent system.
